We are beating the terrorists!

Some bombs went off in Egypt recently, killing at least 88 and injuring at least 200 (Guardian, July 23).

This does not appear to be nearly as big of a deal as 77 in the news media because, I guess, it didn't happen in an important country.

Of course, I am quite thrilled this not happening in streets near me, but I can't help but think that maybe all of the news isn't showing that we are beating the terrorists.

No, scratch that as just another crazy idea. It is only the radical leftists at The New York Slimes like Dexter Filkins and David S. Cloud who write in an article dated January 23 that the forces of evil in Iraq are getting stronger.

I am sure there is nothing to this, nothing at all.

At the same time, I am defying conventional wisdom by believing that we should set an exit date for getting out of Iraq and into our next liberation. Why? Won't this just give the forces of evil like Osama and Destro a reason to lay it low and wait for us to leave? I think not, because we being so successful that I don't see how they can ever stop us.
